More Mindful Moments Summer 2021 Program
Yoga and mindfulness have been proven to help build self-awareness, resiliency, decrease stress, and boost confidence, all while having fun! It has been an extremely difficult year that has impacted our children in various ways. Levels of stress, anxiety, and depression are at an all-time high and it has been challenging for our children especially, to socialize and connect with others. This is why the More Mindful Moments summer program was created, to help bring kids back together again in a supportive, healing, and fun environment, where they are given valuable tools that will serve them throughout their lives. The More Mindful Moments summer program is aimed to help group members cultivate healthy new habits and coping strategies, inspire creativity, develop emotional regulation skills, as well as foster kindness and connection towards themselves and others.
In this two week camp, kids will experience:
- Yoga
- Crafts
- Meditation
- Mindful movement
- Time in nature
- Group play activities encouraging cooperation, compassion, and building a sense of community
- A healthy kid-friendly snack will be served daily. **Please contact us directly if your child has a food allergy, sensitivity, or other dietary concerns.
- Mindfulness topics/themes covered:
- recognizing thoughts/feelings
- Responding instead of reacting
- noticing positive events throughout the day (and what to do when an unpleasant event occurs)
- tools to help ease stress and relax
- mindful listening and mindful communication activities taught by a licensed speech pathologist
Registration: To promote safety during COVID protocols, our groups will be smaller this summer— so register soon before spots fill up! Registration deadline is ten days before the start of the group.
Cancellation Policy:
A minimum registration of 6 members must be met for the program to take place. Incorporate Mindfulness reserves the right to cancel the program, at which point you will be fully refunded. Registrants will be informed of cancellations at least 10 days prior to the beginning of the group.
If you would like to request a refund, it must be made 10 days before the first start date of the program. We ask that if your child is sick to please keep them at home. Sorry, no refunds after the deadline and no prorated refunds for missing a day of the program.
In the event of inclement weather such as rain (or snow even— knowing Utah) group activities will be moved indoors to the home of one of the instructors. If you do not feel comfortable with this, you will be offered a prorated refund for that day.
