Mindfulness Groups for Teens

“Mindfulness is the practice of becoming aware of one’s present-moment experience with compassion and openness as a basis for wise action.
– Patricia Broderick, PHD

This 6-week group is designed specifically for teens in Middle and High School ages 14-17. Coursework for the group is informed by the evidence-based Learning to Breathe (L2B) curriculum by Patricia C. Broderick, PhD. Each lesson includes age-appropriate discussion, experiential learning activities, and opportunities to practice mindfulness in a group setting. The intention for the L2B program includes:

  • Building self-awareness
  • Cultivating compassion and gratitude for ourselves and others
  • Enhancing emotional regulation
  • Strengthening attention and supporting academic performance
  • Expanding stress-management skills
  • Strategies to integrate mindfulness into everyday life

Dates: Tuesday evenings beginning March 31st– May 5th from 6:00-7:30pm. Given the increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 in gatherings, all groups have been postponed at this time. Please check back in the coming weeks for reschedule dates. Thank you for your patience. Wishing you and your loved ones good health.
